KG1 and KG2

Two connected years, each with its own focus, building steadily towards school.

KG1

Confidence, language and belonging

The first kindergarten year is about feeling secure. Children settle into routines, build friendships and develop the language and independence that make learning possible.

  • Settling routines and emotional security
  • Speaking, listening and vocabulary growth
  • Early number sense, sorting and patterning
  • Sensory, creative and outdoor exploration
  • Self-care skills and growing independence
KG2

Extending thinking and readiness for school

In the second year children take on more challenge: reading and writing take shape, mathematical thinking deepens, and children learn to work together on longer projects.

  • Phonics, early reading and emergent writing
  • Counting, quantity, measurement and reasoning
  • Collaborative projects and sustained focus
  • Following instructions and managing belongings
  • Transition support for the move to school
Our curriculum

A curriculum for the whole child

International learning, grounded in Omani values. Six connected pillars, woven through the whole day rather than taught in isolation.

An international outlook

Learning shaped by international early-years standards, with English language, curiosity and independent thinking woven through the day.

Grounded in Oman

Qur’an, Islamic Studies and Omani values sit alongside academic learning, so children grow up rooted in their faith, culture and community.

Always through play

Nothing here replaces play. STEM, literacy and faith learning all reach children through hands-on, child-led experiences.

Language & literacy

Stories, songs, conversation and mark-making build vocabulary, listening and early reading and writing — with phonics introduced gently and playfully.

Numeracy

Counting, sorting, patterns, shape, measurement and simple problem-solving, explored with real materials children can hold and move.

STEM discovery

Science, technology, engineering and maths at an early-years level: observing, asking questions, experimenting, building, comparing and working out why things happen — always through play.

Qur’an & Islamic Studies

Short surahs, gentle memorisation, du’a and stories of the prophets, shared in an age-appropriate, joyful way that nurtures faith, character and good manners.

Omani values & identity

Arabic language, Omani traditions, national celebrations and everyday kindness — helping children feel proud of who they are and how they belong to their community.

Creative, physical & social development

Art, music, movement, outdoor play and role play develop expression, coordination, friendships, turn-taking and confidence in a group.

A day with us

A rhythm children can rely on

Predictable routines help young children feel calm and ready to learn. Timings flex with the needs of the group.

Our educators

The adults beside your child

Educators are the quiet engine of a good kindergarten. Ours observe closely, ask good questions and know when to step in and when to step back.

  • They build warm, respectful relationships with every child.
  • They plan around children's interests and next steps in learning.
  • They support emotions and friendships as carefully as academics.
  • They keep families informed about progress and daily life.

Ready for school, ready for life

By the end of KG2, children leave us able to listen, express themselves, work with others and approach new challenges with confidence. Come and see how we get there.
